Hallujah...please..if you insist on hiring your best friend to shoot your wedding...tell them to stand, at least...10yds away!!! Otherwise...they can really ruin a moment. That is the difference between a great photographer...who has the proper equipment...so they don't have to be by your side to get the shot...and joe schmoe.
Also...they need to be bossy after the ceremony to quickly get all the shots done asap...so you can join your own wedding. Should not take more than 1/2 hr. at most. Un trained photographers have been known to take one and 1/2 up to 2 hrs..because they didn't know what they were doing!
